Camping - silverstone Classic
Discussion
I'm looking at camping for the silverstone classic, for the Moto gp we use woodlands and while its always been very good i was thinking of giving whittlebury park a go, its closer to the main entrance so the actual walking distance i don't think will be too much different, its also the cheapest by £50, or £140 if you include Silverstone golf club.
I'm not too worried about facilities, just needing electric hook up and space for a car and white box.

Disclaimer: this was years ago and a much smaller event although Whittlebury was the 'official' camp site for the event.
Might be worth checking that Whittlebury is being supported by the circuit as it is dependent on them opening a gate and stationing someone to check tickets - there is/was no official entrance. First day of the event I went to, this had not been done, cue shouting through the fence and bunch of messing about to get it sorted.
Also check which gate. Once you get to Copse, if it then turns out it is at Maggots, I don't recall an easy walk around the fence to reach it.
With all the building that got done near Copse maybe it is better now. Hopefully someone with more recent knowledge can confirm.

After a really bad experience at Woodlands, Dadford Road is the one I would always use now, but OP wants hook up, which I think is not a strong point there.

Hook up was an option last year for the MotoGP, don’t know about the classic though (https://silverstone-campsite.co.uk/ if you want to check it out)
Hook up available at Dadford but its a further 30 minute walk according to the website. I've not had an issue with Woodlands, we tend to go on the family side although for this year it seems they have done away with that option.
Silverstone Golf club is the official campsite but its stupidly expensive

Looked in Events and saw a Classic events section so not sure why Silverstone Classic stuff gets shuffed here.
I've been to Silverstone Classic before a few times and also to Woodlands before and can't go this year as a prior arrangment.
How much is (or was) the earlybird car club entry for a car and 2 passengers this year and how much is Woodlands for what Thurs to Monday? and per person? or per pitch. Car club was pre 31 March booking anfd when does Woodlands get full?
And do you book both at same time or do they push Golf Club camping on main site? Have been to LM Classic a few times but long way and pretty expensive for some of our lot.
thanks
