What is it with the Hondas (Dynamics in particular) killing their brakes? Seems to be a recurring issue over the last few years.

Yes, on Sky and Virgin. ITV4HD is a subscription only channel.

I’m watching this on a recording as I’ve been to Stamford Car show most of the day. Unfortunately MrsMB140 is now looking at me strangely as I’ve just spat a mouth full of tea out due to laughter. Best line in BTCC commentary ever.

Barring the safety cars Race 3 was great, felt for Jade Edwards though she seems to get no luck. Interested to know what happen regarding Morgan cutting the chicane

There's limited HD capacity on Freeview and the exclusivity deals ITV have with Vrigin & Sky are the main reason they can afford to transmit in HD on satellite.

Nothing at all which I find odd as there were multiple penalties in the Ginetta Juniors for drivers cutting the chicane.

Is it me or is BTCC getting a little dull? Its all getting a bit F1 with far to many rules, we need to get back to the super touring days where the Mondeo,Vectra,Laguna,406,Primera went head to head properly.

not missed a race since 1998, its the same old every race, sutton and ingram drive like the cars on fire turks is careful just in case he has an off and everyone else is a chicane to make the numbers up.

Just caught up with everything today. Each to their own of course, but I'm really enjoying it. Ash and Tom are fantastic to watch and it's never boring watching the cars right on the limit through Church.

Hope the car isn't too badly damaged Wookie, that right front looked a bit poorly though frown

Same. I think these last couple of years have been some of the best I've ever seen. Yes there's the Hamish Irvine Cup going on at the back end but someone's got to be there, and full grids keep the money coming in. The mid field is actually great racing most of the time and the top 15 or so aren't that far off each other time wise.

Go on youtube and watch a late 90s superTouring era race. They're really not as good as we remember them.

That’s never going to happen. The budget required to run and develop those cars was monumental compared to the current BTCC.

Look at some of the engine stuff going on back then. Throwing valves of the end of the cam profile to get round maximum valve lift restrictions for example. Pretty much necessitated an engine rebuild every few hundred miles.

Can't say I've seen any issues with too many rules. Did you have something in particular in mind?

Reasonably big shake up coming next year with the new TOCA engine, hybrid system and removal of success ballast (to be replaced with reduced hybrid) so that may shake the order up a bit. Personally I don't think there's a lot wrong as the best are at the front as they should be but the wins are spread around.
