BTTC Thruxton Advice
Discussion
Take suitable clothing / sunblock. There's no rain in the forecast, but it's summer, so who knows?
There's nothing particularly noisy on the BTCC card, but I would strongly suggest ear defenders for your son at least (long term severe tinnitus sufferer speaking).
Other than that, just the general get there early advice, they used to close the direct access from the A303 and send you half way round Hampshire, but don't know if they still do that, particularly on the Saturday.
Other than that, just enjoy - there's usually an exhibition / stall area opposite the pits but not sure if they'll do that with the covids.
Ditto the pit walkabout - don't know the current status.

Thanks for all the replies. We had a great weekend. Camping was good and neighbours friendly. My son loved the time the cars were on track and his time in the paddock/pits, it fascinated him to watch the mechanics at work. I never realised you could walk the track in the evenings. Next time I will bring bikes to race. He can't wait to go back. Which other tracks and races do you recommend. I want something in the same price bracket, even though I'd love to take him to the F1 the prices are way out of my league.

You will see far more overtaking and a greater variety of cars in most club meetings, and probably have better access to the paddock. Depending on where you live, Donington, Oulton, Brands and Mallory are all good for spectators. Avoid Silverstone!andy97 said:

This.I don't know what is local to you but the 750mc is a great watch, I live in Scotland and travel to some of the weekend events.
