Hi all,

Got an email with a link to click to validate my parking booking for the motoGP weekend, and not happy that it's 100% legit.

It's asking me for my email, booking reference, and car registration etc, and isn't from Silverstone themselves, rather the link takes me to:

https://ss-carpark.xcm-uk.com

Anyone had the same, and any experience of whether it's correct or not??

Question 2, I guess, is whether registering one car will prevent my friend and I taking a different car on each day.

I think that's probably OK.
For the F1 the URL was ss-f1carpark.xcm-uk.com and that was legitimate. The only difference is the addition of 'f1'.

Be warned

If you take a car, it' 12 quid per day every day, and park ride escalates each day, is cheap on Friday then escalates in price on Sat and Sunday.

Put me off going as they basically admitted to me via email that they are doing it because they can, greedy thieves.

Supply and demand. It's how the world of commerce has worked for centuries.

Maybe so but when you have a place surrounded by tens of acres of parking space and are asking people to pay 12 quid to park on a Friday, I call that simple greed, sorry. Hence I will not be going. f more people were like minded they would stop it, but that is the case with countless things, people succumb to being ripped off, get ripped off more and more and more. It is a bit sad really but as you say supply and demand, I would if I could.
