You were there? That must have been awful.

It's going to need a rethink of track safety. Let's hope Brands Hatch leads the way.

Sadly it came up on a kent news site with an 8 second video and a brief very poorly written report . Saying that the police were in attendance along with the Air Ambulance could sadly only mean that the worst had happened.

RIP indeed frown

Was it an incident in a saloon car race, involving a black BMW 3 Series and a white & green Escort?

If so, the footage in on YouTube.

The clip cuts as the Escort rides along the top of the barrier to the lead cars heading up to Druids, but it’s obvious what happens next frown

R.I.P to this great guy - The Marshalls are the unsung heroes of motorsport and without them there'd be no motorsport.. One other Marshall and Driver badly hurt and hoping they will be okay..
Condolences to the family of the Marshall sadly lost today....

Very sad news.

I saw the clip on social media earlier this afternoon. Sadly some poor driving has resulted in a completely unnecessary accident.

Paddock Hill Bend, surely?

I used to race in one of the other CTCRC series years back, and driving standards were mostly excellent then.

Disappointingly it looked as though it was a very avoidable accident which just makes it even worse, seemed to be some red mist involved.

Thoughts with their family and all the orange army who will be back out there tomorrow up and down the country.

The incident happened in the approach to Paddock, then the video quickly cuts to the lead vehicles approaching Druids so as to avoid showing the incident at Paddock, (if that makes sense, ((sorry, it’s late and I’m tired)) )
