With Snetterton just two weeks away, I'm reminded it will include the "Top-Ten Showdown" method of qualifying, which was featured at that track for the first time last year.

https://www.btcc.net/2021/06/03/snettertons-top-te...

What are the thoughts on this method of qualifying? Does it favour the elite teams/drivers with the much shorter "normal" qualifying? Or does it add an extra bit of excitement and suspense?

Good to see (an amount) of spectators back (hopefully).

I've read speculation that it was rear wing angle, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.

Ash Sutton's having to get a new engine fitted this evening. He wasn't happy with it all afternoon.

The Subarus got disqualified for a similar thing a couple of years ago, the angle of the middle of the wing was slightly out of spec iirc. Seems extreme given the wing is designed to do nothing.

If it's designed to do nothing, why is it also designed to allow the teams to alter the angle (within limits).

Only 4,000 allowed in. Same as many other sporting events.
