Linda Parkinson
Discussion
I have some very sad news to report this evening.
I am personally very saddened to hear of the passing of Linda Parkinson.
Geoff and Linda have been Stalwarts of the TVR and Racing scene for more years than I care to remember. They are beloved within TVR racing circles and Geoff and Linda for many years pretty much single handedly ran the Dunlop TVR Challenge. Personally for me Geoff and Linda introduced me to the world of racing and between them they showed me the way around a racing paddock and became firm friends. Linda for many years struggled with MS but you would never hear any complaint and they both lived life to the full travelling from their base in Rishton, Lancs to circuits all around the country. I started Helping Geoff spanner firstly his 3000M racer and later his Rover V8 powered Tuscan. Linda always looked after me like a second mother to me and it was always an absolute Joy to share their company at the circuits on race weekends. Geoff had wound down his business this year and together they were looking forward to a quieter but not too quiet life in the Scottish Borders. Linda passed away unexpectedly whilst in the Scottish Borders and I believe the funeral is to take place on Friday of this week in the Borders. I have spoken with Bernie Hartnett this evening and subject to Covid restrictions etc, He is planning to attend the funeral to convey all of the TVR fraternity their best wishes and condolences. I am sure this news will come as a shock to many fellow enthusiasts and racers. RIP Linda Parkinson.
