the circuits have been given a £6m low interest loan from the gubberment. I am looking forward to lower entry fees and better facilities....and not having to buy a season ticket to make it happen.

It’s a loan not a grant.

I really want to but have quite a lot of money tied up in postponed events as it is!

Let's see what nonsensical rules our blithering idiot leaders decide to arbitrarily impliment

I suspect MSV have had a better 2020 than many other businesses in the sporting, entertainment and hospitality industries.

Other than the BTCC they've had paying punters at events - one random club meeting I went to at Brands was awash with spectators most of whom seemed to be friends and family of the drivers as it was a good opportunity to meet up legally.

The cost of making the venue 'covid secure' seems to have been just taking the doors of the toilet blocks, moving the tables and chairs out of the Kentagon and putting up a few signs.

My point wasn’t quite clear enough there.

They have to pay said loan back, so why are they going to start selling cheaper tickets? They also lost a lot to ticket sales last year (BTCC etc) so won’t have as much to invest, and why should they unless it brings in more money?

How does buying an MSV season ticket help motorsport?

It helps MSV, who IMHO apart from running some circuits and cherry-picking what championships it runs, does very little for grassroots motorsport.

Is he still a registered Dr? Might not be and he hasn’t formally been employed to practice medicine since, probably, his British F3 year.

Without MSV , I suspect British motorsport would be in a far worse place . I first started going to races in the late 60s and circuits like Oulton and Cadwell have never looked better. Their customer care is exemplary - in 2012 I had a serious back condition meaning I could barely walk - MSV bent over backwards to help while or friends at BARC did sweet f*** all to help. Palmer is often sneered at - tall poppy syndrome I suggest .

And I have seen just as much grass roots stuff , more probably, as I 've seen elsewhere - assuming by grass roots you mean club racing a la CSCC etc ?

I am not saying MSV are bad, it was aimed more at the OP who claimed that if we buy MSV passes it would help motorsport. When in reality it will just help MSV.
