If you think that's optimistic they're hoping to start the season at the end of May...https://www.autosport.com/indycar/news/148809/indy...

The IndyCar iRacing race is proving to be very good.
I've watched F1 on shoddy NowTV streams that looked worse & there are some camera angles / shots that look pretty realistic.
Plus the 2020 IndyCars with the aeroscreens look really good.
Show just how bad F1 2019 is, I haven't seen a good Codemasters racing sim since the 2 TOCA Touring car games of the 1990s.I've watched F1 on shoddy NowTV streams that looked worse & there are some camera angles / shots that look pretty realistic.
Plus the 2020 IndyCars with the aeroscreens look really good.

The US series races last week and this week (IMSA, NASCAR, Indycar) have taken it seriously, as though its a 'proper' race. It adds to the feel of the event. I've watched F1 on shoddy NowTV streams that looked worse & there are some camera angles / shots that look pretty realistic.

Enjoyed it.

Easily the best of sim races so far.

Plus, I thought it played out just like a "real" IndyCar race on that sort of circuit - the race result didn't feel artificial in any respect, the field spread is pretty much what happens.

Agreed. Really enjoying the races and make the effort to watch the whole coverage, the invocation and national anthem makes me smile and chuckle at how much effort has been put into it.Easily the best of sim races so far.

1) Choosing a good stable multiplayer platform.
2) Having all professional racers, no celebs.
3) By mimicking a real race day they have an established routine and look to the race that doesn't seem out of place.
4) Taking it seriously.
All the things F1 has failed to do;2) Having all professional racers, no celebs.

Shonky, unrealistic platform (according to Max Verstappen!)
Less than a quarter fo the field are current F1 drivers (including test and reserve)
No, and
No
