Doesn’t appear to be a thread chatting about the racing yet.

FP1 & 2 looking quite tasty, top 20 cars in FP2 covered by 0.9 seconds, should be a very tight qualifying session!

Awful to hear the news about Sam Tordoff's baby passing away. Hopefully his stand in Bushell can get a decent result for them.

Has Tim Harvey ever said anything negative about anyone, it’s pretty obvious who pays his salary

Is it possible to overtake here without hitting the car in front? Or does it happen in every other class of racing here.

Chilton managed it near the start of the race. It's not really a track where clean racing happens, at least not in touring cars.

Not how Nic Hamilton wanted to end race 1...

If you think there's a lot of contact here you should watch the WTCR rounds from China today. Makes the BTCC look like the cleanest series on the planet.

Rory did very well under sustained pressure there, well deserved win.

Sutton on Neal, that’ll be an interesting couple of interviews.

Perfectly easy to pass cleanly around KH.

Is Tim Harvey a member of the Colin Turkington fan club perchance?

The move by butcher was robust, but no worse than others at the same corner!

Butcher's move happened at a 45 degree angle to us. He was partly alongside before AJ turned in for the corner. Pretty standard BTCC coming together!

It was a bad move. He was nowhere near close enough to be claiming that line. I'll be surprised if he doesn't get a reprimand at least for that and he could easily get a 20 second penalty.

As I said, it was robust, but no worse than the move Sutton pulled on Neal in race one. I don’t hear TH lambasting Sutton for his move.

Harvey did say that overtakes at that corner seldom work (exactly what he said about Butcher as well though it was a different corner) which is hardly praising Sutton and to be fair Sutton was massively further alongside than Butcher ever was before contact was made.

Worst thing he said from what I can recall about Butcher was that the move wasn't on. Hardly lambasting him, just stating facts.

Five place grid penalty for Butcher so he starts the final race in 13th.

Hamilton out for that 2 races

His reason...

And the real reason.... notice the yellow splat on the side, that's where the Duo logo was before they binned him off before Knockhill

Got to say, I respect his decision here.

There’s no point limping on without the budget to do things properly and a mid season panic drive isn’t going to give him time or the right mindset to perform at his best.

That he doesn’t try tapping up his brother any time there’s a funding shortfall is also very admirable.

I hope we see him back for a full season in 2020.

That depends of you believe it's his decision or if the sponsor money hasn't been paid for the last part of the year and Dave Bartrum refuses to run a driver out of his own pocket, especially one running around at the back. There seemed to be a lot more TV focus on Hamilton at Knockhill, almost like it was known in the paddock already he wasnt going to be doing the last 2 rounds.

The focus on him at Knockhill was because Duo pulled out of sponsoring him before that event and it looked like he would be out then and there until the chairman of Rokit used his beer brand ABK to make up the shortfall.

Shows all those cynics were wrong when they said his brother paid for it all.

It wasn't his decision to quit for any other reason than the sponsorship and he hasn't tried to hide that fact at all from what I've read.
