Pretty good weather, though a bit grey towards the end.

Didn't move around the circuit too much, so tricky to get a lot of variety into photos, but here's a few I like:

Great day, in many ways I now prefer the Saturday of this event with the ELMS race and more relaxed pit walks over the headline Sunday and the WEC race. I really hope that once the new hotel bridge goes in we will all be able to use it to make access to the Wing much easier.

Anyway here is my fav photo so far from yesterday.

I'd be very surprised if the bridge from the hotel is open to the plebs

Beckett's grandstand is closed if you're heading out to that part of the track, which is a bugger as it's the best view of the stands which are supposed to be open. As per usual they've for the wrong Woodcote stand open too.

First time I haven’t gone to a Silverstone WEC race in many years - chopping off 2 hours was too much for me... and I started with a de Cadenet win ...

Just caught up with the “highlights” on Eurosport. Shouldn’t have bothered. Hopeless editing and a commentator who seemed to be watching a different race somewhere and constantly stopping mid sentence....very odd.

Race (other than P1) was very entertaining, Beckett's grandstand closure was apparently down to staff shortages, no lack of staff for those sat in the BRDC clubhouse feeding their faces and glancing occasionally at the telly obviously, just for the paying punters, I would say Silverstone has gone down in my estimation, but that's not really possible, I watch a lot of races across the season, in the UK and around Europe, Silverstone always comes bottom of the pile.

A few from me and my ancient Olympus 4/3rds (I haven't been through them all yet, and yes I'm an Aston fan!)

Excellent pics there.

Have to say I enjoyed the weekend. Arrived Friday, showers in the campsites were cold water only until Sunday morning. Everything was hopelessly over priced, but if you expect that you come prepared.

Felt sorry for anyone in a tent. It was cold at night. We had a caravan with heating, fridge, etc.

Would definitely go again next year. Racing (other than LMP1) was great.

I was going to go until I saw the GTE Pro line-up....... It did look like a decent race but the empty grandstands look strangely out of place when you've been to the F1 at Silverstone. How busy was the campsite? I assume only Woodlands was open?

Campsite wasn't at all busy, not sure it was much different to last year though

Empty grandstands because most were closed.. people were all along the fencing and banks (except when it rained!)...

The contrast to a week earlier and MotoGP is quite startling.........apart from Le Mans, maybe WEC isn't that interesting at the moment for UK motorsport fans.

Good race and GTE Pro cars very close before rain came, ELMS race on Saturday also good.

GTE Pro field after Le Mans a bit disappointing.

Long walk back from Wing to Woodlands on Friday night as a later practice session had been extended to catch up on lost time. Small tent and extra blanket not too cold.

Programme OK for WEC but scarcely of ELMS and Carrera cup in in there - no drivers for ELMS shown which makes following commentary fun. Map in programme also didn't show some of stands open like Abbey and had imaginary toilets up near Vale in Wing area.

Plus kept early Pit walk times and race start time despite finishing two hours earlier. Pushing timetable back an hour might have suited Sunday only spectators better.
