Simple question - I am running OEM seats in my VX220 with harness holes and I'd like to wear a HANS when sprinting.

What rake would people suggest? I know it's best to try it on, but finding time to get me and the car to somewhere that sells these things is proving a real problem. Does anybody have any insight? Is the adjustable HANS worth a look? Strikes me that it might be a good investment if I decide to change the car or the seats. Input very gratefully received.

This may be of some help to you: https://driver61.com/resources/hans-device-buyers-...

Do you know any other VX220 that compete? They may be able to help.

Thanks for that - I hadn't thought to check the Driver 61 site.

The other VXs I know that use harness are using aftermarket seats. I may ask on a Lotus forum as the seats in the s2 Elise are very similar.

Speaking from many, many years experience you'll require a 20 degree device for OEM seats (or seats with an OEM rake such as Tilletts).

I bought a Stand 21 Hans device at the beginning of this year after stepping up in my drag car. Kinda wish I'd stumped up the extra £300 and gone with a Hybrid. Can use them in regular 3 point car seats unlike the Hans which has to be used with racing belts.
