There's never much chat on here about BTCC other than to moan that it's not as good as the "good old days".

I love the way both Colin Turkington and Dick Bennett are emphasising that their performance in quali is down to good driving and a tow to try and stop Alan Gow turning down the boost hehe

Something does need to change, Jordan was also fourth while the older BMW and the Subaru were nowhere.

Well it was. Look at the lap times from the session. It was a total one off. He was miles off that time other than that lap. If it was all about boost why didn't the lighter BMW's go faster?

Why is the Clio field so small?

Previous years usually sees 20+ cars running? Has something changed this season?

I think it’s because this is the last year of the Clio Cup, next year it’s being replaced with the Mini Challenge series that usually supports British GT.

Only 5 clios left, very poor though.

It's the last year of the series. It's dropping off the package next season to be replaced by the BMW Minis.

Surely they have to clean up the oil?

Scary incident for Neal there. Nobody was backing off going into the smoke.

Now waiting for Matt Neal to go ballistic after getting tapped by Jake Hill for the lead.

Neal's NOT going to be happy about that little gem.

Its getting quite boring now also that every driver they speak to seems to have to moan about the BMW's.

Also if Turks ends up on the podium in this race, it ll not be down to the Neal/Hill incident it ll be down to how "fast " his BMW is.

Ooof, on the limit going down into Cascades isn’t the best place to be ‘tapped’. Neal was so lucky to not be collected there. I’m no fan of penalties but that was naughty.

Might be a BTCC tradition coming back when they get to the pits...

Looks like BTCC stewards are faster than F1. Hill has a 20 second post race penalty.

I did think his team were celebrating a little to much before knowing the outcome.

Hill had no need to push Neal after he d passed him, and the out come could have been a lot worse if Neal had been left a sitting duck in the middle of the track in the pool of tyre smoke he d created.
