Watching the f1 show for China and an interview with a driver from the "W SERIES". Why the fk is there a womans only series! Motorsport is THE most equal sport open to whatever driver is the fastest regardless of gender. Infact i'd go as far to say given equal ability a woman would have an easier time progressing up the ranks than an equally skilled male.

How can you follow motorsport and not know about it? The mind boggles.

I literally follow f1, btcc british GT as a friend races in it and all the super 1 karting on youtube through tdi media's great content. I had never heard of the W series until watching a pre show f1 bit interviewing someone I had never heard of (turns out she scored 1 point SEVEN YEARS AGO in F3). Looking at the enterants I only recognised 2 or 3 drivers Sarah Moore who I assume is siter of Jason Moore who was an average karter back in the day and the slightly better known Jamie Chadwick who raced ginettas.

The current future hope for females is Abbie Pulling but she hasn't the budget and wil need major sponsorship to get anywhere.

Arhhh, that explains it. Try taking an interest in the many, many other series and other forms of motor sport. There’s lots out there and many of them far more enjoyable and competitive than the three car series you have mentioned!
