Jake Hill is hoping to get into the vacant MG seat.
Might be sorted by now.

Depends on sponsorship couple of Jake sponsor have remained with team hard also been a bit of back and for over signed contract. Also hearing news that bmr will be down too 2 Subaru. The team also didn't run the civic in the last tcr Rd and with the speedway issues maybe warren is running out of money.

Tbh I can see both bmr and team hard not too be on the grid for next year if Gow has his way with 26 car limit.

Seen a lot of talk about BMR dropping a car (Price, not Potato). Seems to be approaching "open secret" status, but could still be nonsense...

Only for Snetterton though so far as it's a one meeting deal.

Yep one meeting only he is the leader of the mini championship and that has a date clash with btcc. I'm guessing Shaun tried too get jake from team hard, Gilham went full mental and blocked the move but kicked him out of the team. Tbf the grid be a lot better without team hard on the scene from what I've heard they run on a extremely tight budget and all the cars are not owned by them. To run 4 car for a small team is stupidity specially when you consider they run loads of vws in the vw cup and run cars in British gt.

Keep guessing! It's only an internet forum, anyone can post "guesses", even if they are complete and utter bo||ox!

This makes no sense whatsoever. Have you any idea how running a motorsport team works?

Well, I heard (because he openly posted it on social media) Hill wasn’t feeling it at Team HARD and elected to leave. There were various reasonings given but not really any detail.

The potential opening at AmD MG may have convinced him to pull the trigger, but some of his sponsors sticking with HARD will have complicated any potential move.

Now, moving on from what’s been posted by the involved parties as fact via their social media, in to the opinion section: I actually think this is a bit of a slap in the chops for Tony Gilham, as I’ve heard he did a lot of work to help Jake Hill get on the grid.

Regardless of what anyone might say about the calibre of some of the drivers that have appeared in the past, Gilham absolutely excels at getting cars on the grid and that’s absolutely what any championship needs. Yes, 2013 was rather musical chairs but he still got cars on the grid and facilitated new drivers getting out there.

BTCC has no real issues with getting cars on the grid, they actually want less not more.

BTCC should never be about getting cars and drivers on the grid regardless of a competitiveness (car or driver). The Team HARD model is fantastic for things like the VW Cup, BritCar etc but I'm not convinced it's the best way of doing BTCC.

With the purchase, Power Maxed return their 'loan' TBL to Gow who can presumably now cancel it and get one car off the grid...

It says in the Autosport article that Power Maxed plan on purchasing another TBL. From who though?

HARD to be encouraged to sell on off for next year and have one TBL cancelled to only run 2 cars?

Do Welch motorsport still have a TBL or was that the one loaned the power maxed?

The ones PowerMaxed had were both loans directly from TOCA. They've returned one now that they've bought one from BMR.

Goff gets the double pole for race 1 and 3 with turks further down the grid looking good for him too catch up in the title chase. Ingram again doing a great job too and both drivers went well last year at this track.

Could be a shake up come end of weekend in the standings and with double points for race 3 big chance for several drivers too make a big charge up the field.
