I see for the Blancpain Endurance this weekend the Silverstone website is advertising 'internal' camping, anyone know here they put you? Somewhere near the paddock and use the facilities in there?

There is, of course, the fancy BRDC caravan park behind the farm building that is a ready made camp site.

Otherwise the best plot would be the grass in front of the banking overlooking the run from Copse to Maggots as there is a large toilet block there.

But there's so much spare grass area if could be anywhere.

It always used to be beside Beckets.

One year we had the tent on the top of the bank for the endurance racing - superb watching the early races from inside a sleeping bag.

For various 24 hr events, the public camping was in the fields behind Copse corners.

As competitor for weekend events, I've pitched tents on the grassy area on the infield paddock area, there is a toilet block nearby.

Hadn't though of there, that's normally marshals camping I think, but for a handful of punters I suppose they may well put us in there.

Thanks for all the replies, have booked so will find out on Saturday

Interested in knowing where you were put in the end? British gt this year has the same internal only option.

At Copse, next to the Marshalls campsite, should be going to this year's Blancpain in a couple of weeks so will see if it's the same
