Aviva / Footman James competition car insurance

I have been covered by Competition Car Insurance (Towergate) for the past 4 years and last year, after enquiring about my being covered at the Nurburgring, was told this was excluded. Actually they initially said I was only covered on public toll road days, as opposed to specific track days, but they called half hour later and said there was no cover at any time.

Last year Aviva / Footman James took over CCI and my renewal landed last week. The premium has gone up a bit to £479 p.a (covering both myself and SWMBO) and because of the increased car value, the excess increased to £1000 from £500. A booklet called 'Competition Car Policy Wording' was also included. Having gone through the policy there is no exclusion to the Nurburgring mentioned. In fact, section 7 - European Motoring clearly states I have the same level of cover (comprehensive) for 30 days per policy period.

Am I reading this right?

Do I ring Aviva and rock the boat?

I ask because I hope to go to Nurburg in June or July and would feel much better knowing I was covered should the worst happen.
