Can't decide which one to run In both great price for what you get and love the weight categories.

Anybody got any experience in both ?

Thanks

I ran in DMAX in the early rounds of this year...you can choose to either do Heats or Endurance.

Both are split in to 4 weight categories (cant remember the wights themselves:

Light
Medium
Heavy
Super Heavy

I ran in the light category although I was a heavy light meaning I was already at a disadvantage compared to all the scrawny 14 year olds.

It is very competitive and most drivers do it year in and year out so dont expect to be at the sharp end. Karts are great fun and very fast for arrive and drive. It's much cheaper than car racing too so if budget is tight and your wanting close racing then go for it.

I'd also strongly recommend investing in a rib protector, the seats aren't very comfy and with the added load through the fast corners my ribs were very sore after the day.

I did the C100 endurance series this year, have done a couple of rounds of sprints previously also. Only driven DMAX at practice sessions in MK. Personally i prefer the C100 karts as i was never a fan of the rotax engines.

Enduros are definately better value in terms of seat time per £. Sprints are alot more intense but equally competitive. Both series have a good range of circuits, might be worth trying some test days early in the year and see what you prefer.

Plus one for rib protector!! I broke my ribs in a DMAX crash two months ago. Still in pain. Will never kart without rib protection again. The karts are great though.

It's not that great value, you could rent a seat in a promax for OEKC Endurances or rent a rotax for a day at a kart club for about the same money. They're not even that fast, ownerdriver prokarts are a second faster around Clay and Rye on the same tyres with a full tank, the extremes from bpec are over 2seconds a lap quicker around llandow.

They do visit nice tracks and Daytona have sorted their calendar out this year and next. I'd say Club100 has the edge because of driving standards and numbers.
