UK GT Championship
Discussion
So after seeing BTCC a few times mainly at Brands Hatch, now thinking about seeing the GT Championship this year instead of BTCC.
So had a quick browse of website, and noticed they go to Spa.
Worthwhile doing in going to see it at SPa or should I just stick with silverstone or brands hatch in uk?
If I should do Spa, where the best place to see it, can you walk round track like Brands Hatch etc.
Obviously Spa will be a lot more money, and annoyingly is the same weekend as a lot of schools finish for summer - so euro tunnel could be fun, would quite like to drive it, so can pick up wine etc from france on the way back, I will at last fill the golf r esate with something other than garden stuff to the dump (and wines a lot tastier!).

I have been to a fair amount of British GT at various UK circuits, after initially spending time at BTCC, and really enjoyed the days. British GT tends, in my experience at least, to be comfortably busy, rather than manically busy as BTCC has become. It helps that I prefer GT racing to the touring cars tho I guess.
If you are thinking about Spa, also consider this:

which we are heading to this year, instead of our usual run down to Le Mans. I think as they don't clash, some of the British GT folks may well also be involved with this one way or another.

GO TO THE SPA 24 HOURS!!!!!
we made a week of it this year and visited Bruges, Ghent and Leuven along the way aswell as spending a day at a spa hotel in the Eiffel mountains on the border with Germany.
The track is amazing....trust me walk it the correct way, because that walk up hill from stavelot to the kemmel straight is a c**t!
The race weekend was brilliant, really easy to get to, parking was a doddle, ok lack of English commentary but the blancpain app/ YouTube live stream made up for it. Lots of action and close racing. Lacks the atmousphere of Le Mans a bit because there’s less people but it’s an amazing place to go to.
Easy access, fraction of the price of Le Mans...what’s not to like!
Top tip, you can spectate from the top of the pit garages for free...great to see pit stops, go to eau rouge at sunset and then walk along the kemmel straight in the dark and settle in At Bruxelles for the night....amazing being so high over the cars as they fly into the distance. Oh and pack a fishing tent...best 20 quid we spent!

Thanks guys for the tips.
Am thinking about doing the weekend before - going Friday 20th July to Monday 23rd July. Although racing calender not out yet, may well take a trip ti liege on the Saturday then all day racing sunday (depending on race calender).
Main reason is the guy I am going with goes on holiday on Wednesday 25th July for two weeks, missing the 24 hour race.
