Photos from Dubai 24 Hours

Was lucky enough to attend this event at the weekend. Not many spectators but some top entries. Was pleasantly surprised by the circuit, quite a bit of undulation and good spectating opportunities. Here are some pics:

I was really enjoying the race until the signal went for the last 3 hours on Frontrunner, not sure if the web stream went down too or if was just them.

Web stream was fine.
Great race/ event, just a shame about the carnage.

Front runner was worse then motors!!! Didn't actually think I would ever say anything was worse!!

Live stream was excellent. One outage!! In 24 hours and it lasted two mins in the dead of night!

Frontrunner didn't interupt the racing with any adverts which was an advantage over any other channel, was a bit gutting to settle down for to watch the recording of the end of the race only to find it had gone belly up though.
It's a shame Motors show so little live action any more, between Dakar, Dubai and Daytona January used to be a good armchair month.

Nice photos EPS. The sliding gates in the catch fencing for taking photos were great weren't they? Should do that at all circuits.
Lack of beer was a slight problem

Lack of beer wasn't too much of a problem for me - although we did have a trip to Kickers which is a Sports Bar in town on one of the evenings...

We had full media access which was great Were you there with a team?

I might try and pop along to the Silverstone race at the beginning of April

Yeah, the exhaust flames were at the inside of turn 1. Pretty close to the action there!
I went along with Optimum. Were you with one of the other ginetta teams because you would have been in the same garage as me or next door!
Yeah, they got me a media pass. Spoiled now. Taking photos at dawn as the sun came up was a highlight.

Nope, I was with a pro photographer, I did take quite a few of the Optimum Ginetta - as I know Stewart who was driving in 231. We hooked up with the Zest team as well, who had 2 Seat Leon's in the race.

Lack off beer, you must not of looked very hard, there is a bar behind the grandstand.

Are you coming over for the N24 this year, no shortage of beer there! I'm toying with the idea of taking my brother in law's camper over. Dad will also be in the region that week for a Mog event and it would be cool to do both.

Any pictures of car 48? (orange and white Honda). We were sharing garage 3A with the green and solver Audi A3 (car number 108).

Access is rather good isn't as you can driver pretty much the whole way round the outside of the circuit.

Hi Ian, I'll take a look and see - I'm sure I've got a few photos of that car somewhere!!
