I wonder if someone could help me...

It is my boyfriends 30th this year and I would like to get him touring cars tickets.

I have no idea when is the best date/best area/things to know/whether to book for the weekend? Also, should I book on the actual website or can I get better tickets elsewhere?

Areas left for the weekend in August are Woodcote A and Copse A I think? But you can't book your seat from what I can see?

Is anyone able to suggest what I should bear in mind as I know nothing about it and would like it to be a suprise? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I would just book for Sunday, as that is when nearly all the race action happens, there is a couple

of support races on Saturdays and BTCC qualifying.

Both Woodcote and Copse are both good viewing points, being at the start and finish of the same straight.

Hi, BTCC takes place at a number of circuits; you mention August but also the Silverstone seating areas ...

Go with him for the weekend and book camping or a hotel near by. Tickets are bookable via each circuit's website

If Silverstone is your nearest, preferred track then Weekend tickets include reserved Sunday seat and General Admission inc Roving on Friday and Saturday; there's also a free Pit Walk so keep an eye on the website nearer the time. Sunday is the main race day and other Championships race during the weekend so it's a full day.

The Silverstone rounds are 16-17 SEPTEMBER, 2017 - http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/2017-dunlop-ms...

The details of other races are at http://www.btcc.net/calendar/ with 26-27 August being Rockingham - http://www.rockingham.co.uk/portfolio/dunlop-msa-b...

If you're considering treating him to hospitality then book with one of the teams direct - http://www.tonygilham.com/hospitality/ or via the circuit http://www.rockingham.co.uk/event/race-hospitality...

I suppose now I need to figure out who his favourite driver is to call the right hospitality division?

So much to learn! Maybe I should have listened to him more when he was talking about it!!

Donington Park is a far better spectator venue than Silverstone, and you can walk round substantial chunks of both the infield and outside of the circuit for different views. Should also be able to get hospitality easily and there are plenty of hotels or decent b and bs nearby. If staying over night the village of Castle Donington has some decent eateries and bars now, especially the Castle Inn and the racing themed "micro pub", the "Chequered Flag".
