Enjoyed watching for couple of hours this morning. Dry, wet, dry, wet - looked good racing and Bentley sounding superb.
The start looked mental, 36 rows. Lead cars going round Ravage while others still crossing start line.
What's this shenanigans with AMG, don't know details but sounds a bit like 'cheating' the way they were talking in the highlights bit.

Something to do with them all running ECUs with un-homologated ignition mapping plus (according to the commentary) other unspecified issues that whilst not against the rules aren't in the spirit of them.Got back very late last night, great race, the Mercs all had a map setting for scrutineering and then ran a different engine map in qualifying, hence why they were penalised by stating from their pits with a five minute penalty, as the safety car came out very early on that penalty was increased to six and half minutes before they could start the race.
That said, the Mercs ran very well, probably the best sounding car on the grid. The rain really mixed it up on the Sunday, was such a shame the McLarens had technical issues, I had hoped to see them tussling for the lead, but it never happened.
