Blancpain Sprint Series - Brands Hatch
Discussion
Had another great day trip out to Brands for the Sprint series only visit of the year. Great to see such a high class field separated by so little, should make for sum entertaining races today. Only down side is the new BMW M6, it looks ok and is fast but sounds horrible, the v8 in the old Z4 was such a stunning thing to listen to!
Got pics n vid sorted from yesterday sorted out if anyone interested.

Can only 2nd what the other guys have said...fantastic day out, fantastic weather and some great racing. Treated my nephew for his 14th birthday and the grin on his face didnt stop from our arrival at 9am to leaving at 7:30pm
The Bentleys being his favourite to cheer on
Superview upgrade for a few quid was well worth it (but more as insurance against rain or cold) but the gridwalk walk tickets for 20 euros were best value of all...never been on a race grid before and even after being ushered off the track, we hung around and stayed at the pit lane exit for all for race one!
Sporting bear rides were ace, Super Car displays superb and the AM Vulcan was stunning....can only imagine how much passenger rides were in that!

I was racing in the GT4 Euroseries race in the Blue and White 61 Aston. Had a nightmare Race 1 (team released my 30s too early from the pits meaning we had a 30s stop-go to serve), then a lap later I threw it off at Dingle Dell and ended up in the gravel of Stirling Moss Bend.... First time ever into the gravel in 6 year of racing

Much better Race 2. Had a terrible qually where my lap on new tyres was screwed by a red flag, so we started P20, but I made up a decent few spots in the first stint, then my teamate Dave Robinson had an awesome second half and ended up 4th, just behind our teamates in the 62 car in 3rd!
Great weekend, and great to see so many spectators out and about. Brands GP is such a fantastic circuit. Hoping we might be back out at Zandvoort later in the year, but we need to find more budget. It's not cheap in GTs!

nice one Mike - always nice to find out that a PHer is doing what we all would love to be doing. ive got some pics of you i think.
It's been 18 months since I was last in a GT4 car, but still feel incredibly privileged to get to race them. Working hard to try and secure some more sponsorship to carry on, and would be great to do a full season. Great fun though.....when not sticking it in the gravel :P Would be interested to see your photos! Here's a link to my pictures from the Brands Blancpain meeting .

Had a cracking day on Sunday at Brands. Those GT3 cars when in the hands of the pro drivers are just stunning to watch. Standing at the braking point into Druids its a bit scary how late and how much speed they can carry.
One thing that did stand out was how little traction control the Lambo's use compared to sum of the others, the Bentley and BMW using the most. Roll on Silverstone this weekend.
Anyway here my vid from sunday if anyone interested:
