Group C Revival
Discussion
Although its not strictly about GT I think this is the best area to post as you all seem to be true sportscar fans.
I'm a big fan of the Group C revival series as these are the cars I grew up watching, but never had the chance to see them race live.
After a few years growth, this year saw the arrival of a rival Group C series that has raced on the bill of the BTCC. After poor grids for this series, which also affected the Revival Series, there was a drivers meeting to bring the 2 series together.
Does anyone know what is planned for 2003 as this series has the potential to be as big as TGP.
Just to give you some idea of the cars competing, heres a list of a few:-
Porsche 956/962
Jaguar XJR-5/6/10/11/12D/15/16/17
Spice SE 88/89/90
Nissan IMSA GTP
Zakspeed Ford
Astom Martin AMR1/Nimrod
There are also plans for an ex works Rothmans 956 and possibly a Group C Toyota 88 amongst others.
Any news/info/photos about GroupC/IMSA GTP would be greatly appreciate.
