HILLCLIMB/SPRINT TYRES
Discussion
If you are running in Mod Prod then the only thing which will get you anywhere near the competition will be Avon A15 compound slicks. You may however find it difficult to get the correct sizes for your car and end up with A50 which is the next best thing. If you are running in Road Going then it seems you may suffer from the current list 1b debacle. See on here, uphillracers and other places.

Thanks Nick. It's a thought but would need wets too and that's a PITA!!
Won't be running in road going class......
I feel your pain. I've been mulling over some super sticky R888Rs on one set and some Uniroyal Rainsports on another set as wets. Won't be running in road going class......
This year I ran Nankang NS2-Rs which were surprisingly good in the dry.

I think your suggested combo would be just about about perfect for 2016. This year I ran Nankang NS2-Rs which were surprisingly good in the dry.
I ran "street" NS2-Rs and they matched 1a tyres to the hundredth, but I also used them on the road as an everyday tyre and they were very good in the wet. I would be tempted by the "track" version as a competition tyre. There is a new even softer compound in certain sizes, but it doesn't seem to be "E marked".
