I may have missed it, but I'm surprised there's no thread on here about the Formula e. I know it's not F1 but I've looked on other sections and couldn't see anything.

I know it's not everyones cup of tea, but it's got some big names racing and we're on race 4 this weekend in Argentina.

Thats the driver line up. Only Englishman is Sam Bird who raced in GP2 last season and came 2nd. He's currently 3rd in the table after 3 races and would be leading but for a DNF last race.

It gets us through to March if nothing else!

Sorry, but the 'E' should stand for Excrement not electric.

Directors who can't direct, cameramen who can't point in the the right place, commentators who can't commentate, Race directors who let ~25% of the race run under the safety car because drivers don't know how to unlap themselves and then end thinking they are driving dodgems at the fairground.

2 hours of my life wasted that I'll never get back ..............

I saw what must have been a re-run last night on tv. I thought it was quite comical hehe

I thought last nights race provided a decent distraction from the usual crap served up on saturday night TV. Cars falling apart due to the kerbs, cars falling apart due to laughable 'lob it up the inside' overtakes with predictable consequences. I quite enjoyed it.

If you can get past the fact the cars are utter garbage and the mid race car change is comically pathetic, it's actually ok entertainment. The races seem to build to nice crescendo of carnage. In fact, if they binned the car swap and had two sprint races it would be much better.

Two races, based on last nights performance, would have quite a high attrition rate I think.....

Could be an expensive weekends racing.

I caught one or two races in the series. As mentioned above the TV presentation was very poor. I would have liked to have seen the races on proper tracks instead of cobbled together street circuits. I gather this was for promotional reasons. However they have made a start. It will be interesting to see if Formula e can develop into a creditable race series in the future. Perhaps the format could be changed. Say instead of just swapping cars, have a second drive in the other car.

They are also ontifht street circuits to give some impression of speed with barriers flashing by. They'd look awefully slow at some big wide open circuit.
