seriously (saleen and GT2) god, sounds bad, wonder if the saleen will be back for the next round cause parts for the saleen S7 are hard to come buy and expensive, shame, hope the drivers are all ok and that it was just an accident, i wish the cerbera speed 12 squad the best of luck for the next round

storm wins NOT SALEEN, THANK GOD! but cerbera speed 12 out, non finisher again, and kinch/lister saleen D.N.F
and sugden/o'rourke won GTO only something like 16 cars finished the race! and NO morgan?
No Morgan? According to MST the morgan was 6th overall 4th in GTO.
The sugden porsch, Shorties TVR, Hartsorne TVR and then the Morgan shed.

The last I heard Tony Littlejohn has a broken arm and Geoff Lister has bad bruising and some cuts on his left leg - Geoff was on his way to hospital after the race to check for some other suspected damage to the leg - fingers crossed.
I saw the acccident from the control tower - both guys are very, very lucky indeed that it wasn't worse.
The #8 Saleen was the newest of the 3 cars that Graham runs, the car that ran at Sebring and Daytona, the chassis is a total write-off with very little left forward of the dashboard.
The Porsche is now L-shaped with the Saleens crash box embedded into its transmission tunnel - Thank God it was left hand drive.

I saw that crash from beside the bridge near the paddock - there was an incident between the Porsche and the Lockie/Davies Ferrari which left the Porsche spun across the track on the grid area and the Saleen had nowhere to go and T-boned it. A horrible crash, and as you say lucky the Porsche was left hand drive. Hope both drivers recover quickly.
The field did seem a bit small, and i don't think there was a viper, was there, viperman? sad to see the Speed 12 go out and so early in the race, too. Watched the Tuscans and Caterhams from Quarry, both exhilarating as ever - Jay Shepherd was storming up the field before his crash, hope the damage wasn't bad.

An update - Tony's arm isn't broken but he is under observation in hospital.
Geoff however does have fractures to both legs together with some tendon and ligament damage. He had some surgery last night and is now at home.
Bearing in mind the data showed the impact speed as 112 mph both are undoubtedly very lucky it wasn't for worse -
Get well soon guys

Anyone hear about a 2000 Dodge Viper ACR and a BMW M4 coming together recently at Castle Combe, I believe the BMW took the Viper out possibly writing it off?
It was an E46 M3 and the Viper, at the CSCC races last weekend. Not sure about the damage, the Viper was a long way off the pace though and this is pure speculation on my part but it seemed to be one of those where a fast front runner who’s pushing the limits meets a slow backmarker who may not necessarily anticipate the closing speeds. I don’t know the full details on how it played outGassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
