LH seems a broken man now. Is JB's success in the same car the final straw or is it just about tyre management these days. I imagine it's killing lewis having to hold back so much during a race.

No.

Sure he doesn't like being beaten but none of the drivers do, he'll come back stronger.

Next.

I don't think he's "broken" him, Hamilton's just had a crap season and IMO lets things get to him far easier than Button. That said he came across well in his post race interviews this week.

Like he said at Singapore, he's just waiting for 2012 to start now.

I'm a huge fan of Hamilton. This is not a pro Button post, although I can only admire what he's achieved since joining McLaren.

But I've never seen Lewis as 'down' as he appears currently. I can't help that your supposedly inferior team mate is getting on the podium at every race in an identical car. I think for someone of an F1 drivers mentality it can start affecting you psychologically.

I'm geniunely interested as to whether or not F1 is just becoming about tyre management, which would play perhaps more to Buttons strengths. Lewis seems out of sorts in a winning car. Never seen that before but I seriously hope he gets his mojo back before the end of the season.

I am surprised at how button has taken the advantage and how Hamilton has lost the advantage. So much carelessness etc that just goes on and on..
If I was running mclaren I would consider dumping Hamilton and bringing a new boy with an 'upward trajectory' into the seat.

Was Hamilton adsent from the McLaren team winning photo, don't recall seeing him in it?

Jenson is surely number 1 in the 2012 team now, although "we don't have a number 1 or 2 driver here" will undoubtedly come out Lewis will need to up his game next season and hopefully have a meeting with Massa in the playground after school on the last day of the term.

Lewis was about. Picture of him taking a pic of Jenson and Jess-purr-ica.

Do we really need another thread where fanboy tossers can bandy around why their particular stty opinion trumps everyone else's.

I believe that Hamilton is broken and that Button is part of the cause.

We have seen this year how sensitive and emotional Hamilton is. He must recognise this surely.

However, I think he will come back next year a different and much harder man.

True, this will surely develop into fanboyish thread, but this question makes some sense. Surely Button´s success made Hamilton thinking hard, but he still has enough natural talent to stay above the water. Still, he was very fast until the puncture but has not repeated that during the race. But Button drove great(although not so attractivelly), and he manages tyres the best. Still Hamilton has a chance to be in front of Jenson at the end of championship.

Im a fan of Button, can't say the same for Hamilton but I still consider Lewis a faster and racier driver overall. Button is on form and Hamilton is very off form so the contrast is stark, but generally the status quo over their two season partnership has been Hamilton > Button . . .imo.

I'd say Jenson has shown Lewis up so far this season. Lewis needs to pull his socks up. He hasn't 'broken' Lewis though.
