Well it didn't go exactly as planned for us supporting my brother in law in car 90.
Unavoidable gravel excursion at T1 and then a mechanical issue forced the car to retire early.

Still leading Gt4 though so hopefully we can bag a win at Donington.

Rest of the race looked interesting, hope everyone had a great time in the sun.

I think congratulation is due to everyone who managed to avoid a major collision with the stationary Merc.

Anyone here going to the final round at Donington in a couple of weeks time? If I'm right, it looks like the drivers championship is still up for grabs.
Is it possible to but tickets on the gate still or do they have to be in advance? It's been a while since I've been to Donington.

I should be going. You can get them on the gate, but its cheaper in advance.

Yep, the website is showing a gate price vs the cheaper online price. I think you have up until Thursday night to book online at the cheaper price

Yup, last even of the year for me. Looking forward to the racing but not the weather (currently in Central Scotland...)

The weather looks OK for Sunday, dry but cold.
Also last event of the year for me, started the season at Daytona so bit of a contrast!

Just discovered we have Tom Ingram racing in his debut GT race in an Aston Vantage GT4. Car 31.

Fantastic race with some great drives (and not so great)! Based on BGT alone Mr Gounon will be lucky to be a factory driver next year.

MrsH and I had a great day thank you Julian and all at IM. It was good to meet Nik and have a brief chat and the hospitality was first rate. Lovely food!

MrsH doesn’t normally like to come to race circuits but expressed the view that today was a very nice experience and would be happy to do it again. wink Having a comfortable bolt hole in the middle of the paddock is a big plus at a race meeting.

Also nice to meet Phil (S6PNJ), Mrs Phil and their friend. Spotted your TVR in the paddock, Phil, looks very nice. MrsH thought it best car in that parking area! Not a Ferrari or Porsche fan smile

Had a bit of a chuckle with Tom Ingram at the back of the grid on the grid walk (his Am driver had qualified them at the back).

Good to meet and chat with you also (and also Hi to Nate and his good lady - good to meet and chat also).

Thanks also to Nik and Julian for opening up such a great opportunity to us IM investors - very much appreciated. The hosting was magnificent, food great, experience - one not to be missed if you get the opportunity.

Great also to catch up with Nik again, to chat cars, computers, engineering and most importantly of all investing and finance matters!

Oh and one question - is the draw open for net year yet????

Just got back from Donington, glorious day considering the weeks weather we've had prior!

The BMW certainly seemed to like today's conditions! Carved through the field with ease compared to Marciello and Gounon being strangely anonymous. I'll have to rewatch the race on YouTube though as I'm not sure what happened to put the leading BMW so far down the field during the safety car pitstops.

Having watched the race back, have to say Harper and Leung drove an outstanding race and Harper in particular was like a man possessed.
Got to feel for Cottingham, one silly mistake cost him the championship.
