Who’s heading to Snetterton this weekend?
Does anyone have any recommendations for where to spectate from? I’ve never been to Snet before. My plan is to spend the morning roaming, pit walk at lunch then settle down somewhere for the afternoon session. I can decide where to settle after my wander but any tips appreciated as I’ll struggle to cover the whole track before lunch.
Also, what’s acceptable form RE beach tents? Obviously don’t pitch up in front of people already set up but other than that? I’ve seen people using them down at the Old Hairpin, Donington but there’s a wall at the back so no possibility of being in someone else’s way up there. Keen to get some shelter set up after wearing a million layers at the Donington decider last season and still finding the wind a bit cutting. Rain, shine or wind it seems like a good idea to me!

It's been windy every time I've been to Snetterton, and biblical rain the last time I was there as well.Does anyone have any recommendations for where to spectate from? There is a big 'mound' viewing area in the middle of the circuit which gives good views, but this will be busy I'd imagine. Into the Brundle/Nelson chicane is a good place to watch and you can get pretty close to the cars there. Otherwise I like to take a long stroll on the outside of the Bentley straight and watch from near Williams where its much more quiet and you could set a wind break up there no problem.
Thanks guys, all noted and will follow your advice. I was kind of thinking sticking to the in field for the morning and seeing which places took my fancy and mybe setting up one end of the Bentley straight for the afternoon if there was plenty going on at either end

Also take sun cream , if it's a nice day snetterton's like being on mars .
I owe you a huge debt, despite having the sort of skin that burns if I think about the sun for too long sun cream hadn’t crossed my mind! It’s on the list nowZippee said:
I'm also toying with popping along tomorrow for quali - what's the car parking usually like on the Saturday? Last time I went to touring cars a few years back it was infield.
If be arriving just after 9.
I'm assuming best to bring own lunch as well
