The Giti car went over van der Linde!
If you play back the replay slowly he's punted into the left hand armco and then the next time he appears is airborne on the right hand side of the track ahead of the 99.
It's a race of scary incidents so far.

It’s amazing you found that in slow motion as watching it normal speed you’d have no idea of that frame it’s so quick .If you play back the replay slowly he's punted into the left hand armco and then the next time he appears is airborne on the right hand side of the track ahead of the 99.

What I noticed watching ot back a few times is the 1 series braked unexpectedly hence the Porsche having to jink out and clipped the lead bmw can’t see why the 1 series braked.
Shame we now have to wait till daylight for the restart but other sensible option at this race.

Thanks for that clip shows just how scary that was ( way more than you’d guess from the first onboard but that’s a very quick part of the circuit ) Im quite surprised, as you say even on the GP circuit visibility is awful, not really any better since the 7 and 8am calls or even last night coming to that. There's little chance of drivers seeing flags at marshall posts at the moment.
Maybe they're going to hold on the grid for a while

We had a similar situation on a BTCC meeting I marshalled a few years back; crisp morning but racing was delayed until 11.30am(!) due to the fog despite there being sunshine. Paddock Hill into Druids was completely covered to the point you couldn’t even see the light boxes flashing - let alone flags.
Hoping it won’t be a similar situation here!
