Actually, I would get the Elise--if I could fit into it--all 6 feet of me, and if I could use it most of the time--at least three seasons and in the rain.

US spec Lotus would be a serious contender. Building a Westfield xtr2 would be educational and extreme. At Tuscan prices building an Ultima GTR would be great. Looking at the various Ultima pages is fascinating. I worry the steering may be a bit heavy a slow speeds. Finding a good replica Cobra would be nice. (Superformance is one) The Mitsu Evo 7 is supposed to be here in chrismas. That'll be a great car. WRX STi should be arriving too. A Corvette Z06 is top notch for the track but incredibly ugly. I'd go with an Ultima right now.

A ZO6 in 2-3 months. I think they're great looking.

I made that assumption this winter... and promptly went out and put the deposit down on the Elise.

Should TVR start taking deposits, I'll put one down for a tamora after all the good stuff I've heard about them on here.

Then I'll have to make a choice, cos I won't be able to keep both...

How about the M3? It has four seats, but has an awesome engine and looks the business.

The Carrera is overpriced for me.

Me? I'm 5'10". I sat in an elise at the LA motor show, and found it comfortable for me... I don't know about getting in and out as there was no roof on it at the time.

Since I am not in LA, I need a car with a roof. I have heard that the Elise is an awesome driving experience, but I need a car for everyday use.

I am looking for something unique--hence the problem.
To me the Panoz is nothing more than a re-packaged Mustang Cobra for more than twice the money. I have thought about a used V12 DB7 coupe, but they are very hard to find and probably outside my budget.

I will probably go for the M3 in a couple of months. I wish TVR would give me reason for hope, but I just don't see them delivering the goods anytime in the next 2 years.

CAV GT40 if I'm not being practical. Maybe the Dare G4, too--Ford Zetec powered!

Practical says the 350Z or the M3.

Maybe the RX-8 if it performs better than it works.

I would go for the Z06. Awesome performance for the dollar.

Still, I will try and wait a couple months more for the TVR.

Just went to the www.goginetta.com website and I think I would get a G4--I need to see more pictures of the purported removable hard top though...

Good taste, guys! Whereabouts are you? If you're in ever in the San Francisco area, let me know and I will give you a ride in the Cerbie. It's currently getting the new-style headlights, but should be on the road within a week or two.
Rgds,
Faisal.

I have thought about the RX-8, but the looks don't leave me too impressed.
The 350Z will be oversold with a wait list.
The ZO6 is for guys who have problems with their alter ego.
The Carrera? M3?
Oh, I'll just wait for my Tuscan!

What about a Ginetta G4? Saw the piccies from the NEC show and have to say the G4 with Zetec motor sounds mighty appealing!

Aston Martin DB5 (new model), Porsche Carrera, Corvette, Viper.

Too bad about the F type Jaguar--that car had a lot of potential.

Still pulling for Blackpool, though...
