If its kept on a UK plate and insurance its just the same as driving into a foreign country in Europe or from Canada or Mexicao.

Yes very very easy for 1 year. If need on perm basis that can be done also.

PM if you need a hand something we have done many times before

Huh?! I went through the whole process to try to get my Griff imported and basically stopped due to EPA issues (needed to revise the chassis for crash protection, strangle the engine with emmissions, etc.).

For a year is fine providing you export at the end of the year (or they crush it). And you can only do that if you can prove you are visiting, i.e. if you're a resident then they won't grant you the approval letter. Any longer than a year, I found, was simply impractical.

Things need to be done in a very specific way. Unless you know the ways and the means you will always hit a brick wall in cali.

If the process is done right then you would only have to go through an sb100 registration and you will only have to pass emission test based on engine year and then you will never have to to smog it...ever!

The process is not cheap and a fair amount of work involved, but it is totally possible to do and have done several times with various manufacturers. In this case its not who you know but what you know wink
