Was at the factory this week. Had confirmed that TVR still have ambitions to be able to sell cars to the US. Hopes of a Brazillian factory were mentioned again.

Initially Tamoras and Tuscans. And more importantly, maybe extend the range to include Cerberas!! So good news for all you guys waiting to drive a real sports car in the US...

Here's Seans message about Gumball (Sean, hope you dont mind me cross-posting this):
"Hi all,
the tuscan made it across the US, along with a story or two. It ran exceptionally well, except for the very hot desert run and the high altitude one, sick child but a little TLC got us there. I'll post a proper update along with some pickies next week, it as on display outside the playboy mansion last night, (along with a morgan & noble + 3 US cars) completly issed the 6 bunnies crawling all over it and being snapped by the press but will hopefully get some
pickies sent to me. The car was dropped off for shipping back this morning. I'm shattered at the moment, but am squeezing the last bit of fun out of it before the return trip this weekend.

Sean"

The financial shenanigans are dragging on which is why nothing has been made public. I think they're still trying to raise the balance of the funds required to set up the new company.

Faisal oh Faisal where are you?

Do you have any interest in establishing TVR in the USA? What is happening with your Lotus Exige project?

Hope all is well in Pistonheadsland

Sorry, no news. I have pretty much given up. If you really want to drive TVRs, buy them in England, take them apart, ship them in, reassemble them here and register them as kit cars, and put up with no warranty coverage. That's all I can advise at the moment. Not good news, I know...

Is there anyone out there who can give me hope that I will be able to own a brand spanking new TVR in the next 12-18 months--and know what they are talking about?

Have you thought about a Boxster while you wait the next several years for your TVR? What about the Corvette? The M3? All about the same price as a Tamora!

From what I've read in the July 16 issue of Autocar (takes a while to reach the USA), we would be better off thinking about something other than a new TVR.

Has the worry over the Brasilian market changed anything?

Maybe a trip to the U.K and a change of citizenship would be a quicker and easier route to TVR ownership. Or just move to the U.K.
