I remember Park Place (Washington state) and another dealer in Mnahattan, NY had new TVRs on their website that were never delivered in 2006? 2007?

I know TVR is bust--except for their website.

Any insights into what went wrong with this fledgling attempt at coming to the USA?

Simple really, no factory to build cars ergo no cars to export.

That question is best directed at Adam Burdette (if you can find him).

I have his cell-phone number but he never answers it hehe

From my understanding and knowing alot of the dealers that was supposed to be selling tvr, te story goes something like this,

burdette and jean michael advise dealers that they will get track only cars to start with federal compliant cars later ( like that was ever going to happen)

agreement between the two florida boys and smolinski(spelling) that they can buy out or buy percentage of tvr from smolinski...florida boys named as directors of new set up tvr company in the uk

burdette and jean michael get dealers on board, dealers pay for cars or at least deposits (i know of some dealers parting with over 100k USD)..burdette and jean michael cant get enough money together for the agreed deal with smolinski (rumoured 3 million euros/pounds/dollars???) .

Burdette and jean michael told to take a running jump by smolinski after repeated extensions to dead lines. burdette and jean michael sat on alot of dealers payments/deposits and take over a year to refund them...

In a nut shell thats what happened....this does not include that there was no factory to build the cars...whoops

it amazes me that they dont seem too. considering the amont of info on burdette out there, i am on the understanding that jean michael was a bit more of an innocent puppet in it all though...but cant be sure.
