Just wondering, but knowing that TVR was prominent in Swordfish and the economy was very good back then...

If TVR had made an effort to sell cars globally, do you think they could have pulled it off? Would they be here today?

Was it a tactical error to exclusively focus on the home market? Any lessons to be learned for the next TVR?

Dont try and be clever and have your own engine built. Use tried and trusted V8 or even V6 engines.

Make sure the quality control is 2nd to non.

Spend a few quid on airbag systems and crash testing.

They could have still kept the car pure but within safety requirements

I think that you will find that international legal/safety contraints put paid to most TVR Models crossing the pond. I as a Tuscan owner wonder how its legal for you guys to buy guns "over the counter" things designed to kill, but cant own a Tuscan because it isnt safe!. Its a sad world.
