How much genuine interest is there to have Sagaris, Tuscan, Tamora , T350 ETC in the usa?

I am not talking new ones here , but used.

Of course non of them could come with the Speed six engine.

Playing with the idea of refreshing some and changing all needed parts to meet FMVSS/DOT requirements and selling complete chassis.

This is just an idea i am playing with, all replies helpfull folks.

If the Corvette engine weighs similar to the S6 and there is an easy way to make the Corvette engine fit, sign me up!

I like the Tuscan look...

Hey JPF this exactly what my plan is. The LS series is of a similar weight and so would not upset the balance of the car, i have also been in talks with one of the few TVR specialists in the usa who could offer the instal work.

I think dependant on the interest i will move forward then just have to weigh up the correct pricing after changing the chassis with all correct fmvss changes.

I will note your interest for sure :-)

Ok thats good, was checking due to getting the vehicle titled.

I can certainly take care of one for you, just finalising the install cost, which wont be an exact figure until the first unit is done, but looking at subsidising the first build as i am sure there will be some hickups on the way.

Send me a PM and i will send you to the dealer in the usa that can sort out an order for you or any questions just pm me

Spotted this "Tuscan in Hollywood" video at the weekend.
Sounds just like my Mk1(RIP) did.
In the process of sorting out the "sound track" on my Mk2 at the moment.
Interesting to note how much quieter the Mk2 is without modification.
I was told that as it was part of the young Russians intention to hit the US market, this was just a small part of his preparation.
Anyway, enjoy..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvkD9Hsx-90

It is no means a straight engine swap, but there is the space to fit the engine and trans and does require some fabrication and modification.

To save all this trouble and keep the excellent and noisy speed six engine, why don't you get a friend who is a non-US resident to purchase the car on your behalf and ship it to the States. You can then drive it for a year on UK plates then ship it back and get another one?

From http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import/hs799sh...

. . .

The vehicle or equipment does not conform to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety, Bumper
and Theft Prevention Standards, but I am eligible to import it because all of the following conditions
exist:
a. I am a nonresident of the United States and the vehicle is registered in a country other than the
United States;
b. I am temporarily importing the vehicle for personal use for a period not to exceed 1 year, and will
not sell it during that time; and
c. I will export it not later than the end of 1 year after entry, and the declaration contains my passport
number and country of issue. [591.5(d)]
d. Passport No. _________________ Country of Issue _________________
