Hi guys, new forum member, 2500-M (Nashville)
Discussion
Just wanted to say hello to everyone.
I have a '74 2500-M with Webers and a hot cylinder head and cam setup, and an 8-speed gearbox (essentially a hot rodded overdrive transmission system with OD switches on all detents).
The car has been sitting up on a wood chassis with steel caster wheels for years in the basement, while I drive three vintage Porsche wasserpumpers. The time is drawing near when the TVR will be re-awakened, and will once more TERRORIZE the roadways of Middle Tennessee like it did ten and twenty years ago. Nobody has seen this car on the road for 10-years.
I'm contemplating bumping this car up to Tuscan status, adding addl shocks, perhaps coilovers, perhaps upgrading the entire drivetrain to GTU status, and this would include a SBF motor and even a possibility of adding a FE 427 of which I have two sitting beside the car in the basement now. If I do the 427 it would be a tight fit, and I would be forced to go with aluminum intake and heads just to keep the weight the same as the SBF 302 motor.
In any case, hello, and please feel free to contact me about the project.
regards, P
