I don't know if you guys have seen this one before, but it's an article in the Feb, 1998 issue of Automotive Industries mag. It quotes PW as saying he could sell TVR's in the US but the problem is looking after them.

www.findarticles.com/cf_0/m3012/n2_v178/20301579/p1/article.jhtml?term=tvr

Of course, it is a little outdated, but it's still insightful.
If the link dosn't work, just go to www.findarticles.com and search for TVR.

Very spiff article. I don't know, but maybe the article in the New York Times was inspired by low UK sales that would force TVR into selling abroad? Home market sales are good, so why sell abroad...

Regarding "looking after TVR's cars", I can't believe that would be such a huge problem when other low volume manufacturers are able to do it (Lotus, Ferrari, Lamborgini, Morgan...).

Really good article.

The truth will only come out after a few pints with PW...

PW just doesn't feel like it. He knows the home market and that is that. Stay in the box.
