Anyone have any sales data re 280s in the US.
Opinion is fine
How many changed hands at Woodwork (if it's still called woodwork now it's moved)

I saw a few for sale on TVRCCNA, one I know has been for sale for a couple of years!

Jeff,
What particular data are you trying to get? How many were originally sold in the US?

Hi Marshall,

Length of time to sell, assuming correct pricing, whaterever that is wink
How many cars exchange hands at Woodwork each year, or because of Woodwork.

I noticed the White 280 on the Website has been for sale for a while, not necc on TVRCCNA all that time but for sale nevertheless.

I sold my old Porsche in a matter of hours, have a feeling this may not be so easy.

Jeff, not sure if any cars change hands at, or as a result of, the Woodwork meet.

I've made 'offers' for a few cars, with a view to re-importing them back to the UK and making a killing, but it seems that a TVR is the one item that isn't half the price it is here.

But if you're desparate, I'll give you £500 cash for yours (you pay the shipping) smile

Jeff,
I don't know whether the type of data you are seeking actually exists anywhere.
While there is some market data as to approximate values of TVRs, I don't know if there is any source keeping such data as how long it takes to sell a TVR, etc.
As for cars changing hands at Woodwork, yes, cars have sold at Woodworks in the past, or as a result of contacts made at Woodwork, but there isn't any record kept of such transactions by the club.

I'm afraid I may still hold the record for 280s - twas love again at 2nd sight 15 year after my first sight and few regrets - maybe Marshall will tell me I'm wrong.

Glad to see some asking prices finally creeping back up.

But its a thin and somewhat scary market. Not to mention the prices in the UK where they give V-8's away like used mini-vans. Too bad the wheel is on the wrong side.
