Read in Sport Compact Car that in order for TVR to be sucessful they need 10 dealers in the USA. Knowing that we wnat TVR to be successful, which dealers would you nominate in the New York, Washington, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle markets and why?

How about Fox Valley Motor cars in West Chicago?

Lotus, Panoz (hey Graham Bell, why haven't you driven one of those?) and Lamborgini dealer.

Just a thought...

I can't name dealers, but it would seem to me that working with the Panoz dealer network would lead to good things--they are independent not owned by a big corporation and probably have similar cultures--even if Panoz makes 300 cars a year!

The Panoz family may be a little miffed if the TVR's cut into Paynoz sales.

FYI, it isn't like Panoz is selling 3-5,000 cars a year. I think they are overpriced Mustangs IMHO.

If so I am impressed. I agree. I applaud Panozes effort but I haven't been compelled by their cars from what the reviews say. England does it better. TVR is excellant competition.

Panoz did have a road going GT1 car that was awsome. It like the Nissan and M3 road versions I hear nothing about on the web. The guys who can afford those keep it to themselves.

The m3 was in a totally different racing class.

I think Panoz and TVR could co-exist quite well in the USA.

Realistically, if TVR prices the Tuscan S in $80,000 range fully loaded, I think TVR will sell about 300 cars in their first year.

Add on the publicity from TVR winning their class at LeMans and away we go!

The model for the right dealer is quite easy and dealer selling--Lotus/Lamborgini/Ferrari/Aston/Maseratti/Panoz is a good match for TVR.

Do you think the success of TVR in Sebring will spell good news for us patiently waiting for their new Tuscan?

Don't forget that Faisal is looking to build a database of people interested in a TVR.

I wonder if Faisal has received many inquiries regarding new TVR's.
I'm beginning to think this TVR in the USA thing is nothing more than a pipe dream.

Guys, despite living in London, I am a frequent traveller to Arizona, and I reckon TVRs would sell in Phoenix.

Thoughts?

Caught!

I was feeling a bit sentimental over TVR and thought refreshing an old thread would inspire fresh thought.

Enjoy the New Year!

A New Year cigar, a glass of Brandy, play Lennons "Imagine"
That should put any US TVR dealership hopes into perspective.
