The 350i was never officially brought to the US as a model of the TVR. It was, however, imported in small numbers into Canada by John Wadman of TVR North America Ltd.
There were, however, two 350is brought over for the auto show circuit in 1985, a yellow one and a dark green one. Either or both were fitted with the 3.9 litre engine but were still labeled as 350i models.
The yellow car has been in private hands with a few different owners over the years. The green car has not been on the road for many years.
The Tasmin and 280i models, however, were brought over and sold through U.S. dealers starting in early 1983 and continuing until 1987 when TVR finally pulled out of the U.S. market. Hundreds of these cars were sold and are still on the road.
Hope this helps,
Marshall
