Just wondering if any 'S' Series made it over the pond?

Yes, S-series cars did make it over the pond, to Canada. And there is one that just recently came to the States. I know of S2 and S3C models. There may be some S1s as well in Canada.

Glad to hear it! I hope the weather is a bit kinder to your Taimar over there. Waxoiling is a hobby I could do without!

Thanks Richard. Actually, I'm planning to take the body off the Taimar this winter and have the chassis stripped to remove some surface rust. No damage to the chassis yet, just want to get it done before there is. And, while I'm at it, new paint and interior will be on tap.

Good luck with the restoration. I hope there are no horror stories lurking under there! Don't forget to post some pictures.

I'll be taking photos throughout the process, if for no other reason, to remember where things are supposed to go on the reassembly process (ha, ha).
