Has anyone here ever ordered any replacement parts from TET, etc. In particular, I am curious about shipping costs and quality.

The 1985 280i I am looking at needs a new front bumper and front valence. Has anyone upgraded their U.S. spec car with newer bumpers or valences? I also need a new windshield if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks.

I realise this reply is late. I haven't been checking the forums for quite some time. I purchased the bumper spoiler and the mirror backs from TET. I have a 1985 280i. I put the Euro V8 front end on. What I didn't realise is the V8s use 15" wheels so the spoiler was too short to reach the 14" wheel openings. I added the extra few inches by using the ends of the old spoiler. The stuff was very good quality and fit well. I was pleased with the the whole transaction. Trevor Bee will give you a quote on shipping. He sent my stuff via FedEx and I got it within a few days. There is a picture of my front end on the club web site. It's under Woodwork 2005 pictures, page 2 "trick licence plate". Regards Lou

I also bought a windshield for England because I couldn't find one here. The sreen was not that bad, $185.00 I think but the freight was almost $300.00. It came in a box 4 time bigger than the windshield. All encased in expansion foam. It took 20 minutes to uncreate it. If you need this guy's addres let me know and I'll dig it up. Trevor at TET is a great guy over here in Blackpool UK, He has just done me a SEAC light weight bonnet and front end for one of our race cars. TOP MARKS!! He has loads of panels for TRVs and good quality, the big problem for you lads is the pond cost. Go on TETs webb site or give him a ring he may be able to sort something out for you.

You can obtain front windscreens for the 280i in the states from Lo-Can Glass in Massachusetts.
They usually have them in stock and I believe they are reasonably priced.
I have a Series 2 280i front bumper in stock, but no front valance at this time.
