Be aware that most aftermarket bucket seats have high sides which do restrict access significantly. The Cobra Cub seats are pretty and have low sides but the optional headrests are an acquired taste.

Best to get some originals if you can.

These came with the car

Guess i could get them restored, would they be ok with a race harness?
Do they just bolt to the floor or am i missing some runners?

Steve, I have Corbeau GTA Clubman seats. They were purchased from Demon Tweeks in '93. The reason I mentioned the date is in the event they've made changes. I took a long time over researching the fitment and these were the most supportive seat I could find that weren't too large to fit the space.

I've had Corbeau GT8s in my M since the early 80s, they will go in but only in one place and without runners which make them too high, mine are early ones with only one slot for the shoulder belts, don't know if the later two slot ones are wider at the the shoulder I can just look over my right shoulder through the rear screen. Only problem I have now is they appear to have shrunk over the years! Geoff

Please take no offense at this but those seats are in no way period looking for the mid seventies!

Also, have you trial fit them? They look a bit wide.
Best,
B.

yes you are true, they are more "period looking" for the sixties, but why not in a M serie ( no headrest on these one)?
The seats are 16" wide, I just fit in them with my 100KG, not yet installed but normally for the vixen S4 or Elva courier.
one installed in a Tuscan V6

I've had a look at the ally seats,i'd like something with a bit of padding though.

these seats are surprisingly very confortable ( only tried them in the garage silly), fine I think for a track car with old school look and missing original seats( exist also with headrest), not sure you will be happy if your M is a road car!!
The seats I have with the 76 1600M are very nice for road, not sure if they are Triumph based or pure TVR???

I believe/have been told, Lotus Elise seats fit. And if my info is correct I once drove a 3000S with Elise seats in and they are very good.

Yes, I know but did'nt want to name names without consent, the whole car was a joy to drive and to the OP the Elise seats are a proper consideration for an M.

If those S belonged to a rather large loud chap from West Yorks, I belive they are Elise Seats.

Speaking of ARSE, when's the next meeting?

Oh, and that steering wheel is a Mountney, Ian.
