I am trying to track down the history of my Grantura. It's 7/C/224 and has been in Sweden from 1987 to 2007, then in Danmark, now in Switzerland.
Anybody who has any knowledge about this car?
TVR CC doesn't have anything on the time before 1987 neither.
Thanks for helping!

I maintained a register of Chassis numbers when I owned a Granura about 10 years ago, my records show:

7/C/224
Car type: Mk II
Last known registration (in Sweden) HKS633
Last known owner Lars Nivstrand, in Bromma

Hope this helps (but you may know that info already).

Hi Bruno - just realised it's you ! Greetings from snowy England….
How's the silver 3000S ? I sold mine in the Spring of 2008 to a chap in Holland.
Cheers, Peter

Hey Peter, good to hear from you! The silver 3000 S is doing well, it just became 30 years old and a true "oldtimer". I haven't driven it too much lately, but it has always been very reliable and is actually that car that I owned for the longest period (now 10 years). Do you still own TVRs?

It had seven different owners since it was imported to Sweden in 1987. I have the names of the last three if that is of any interest to you.

For a small cost you can order copies of all registration and import documents between 1972 and 1994 from the Swedish authorities. That should help you get hold of the first Swedish owner back in 1987 who might be able to tell you more about the previous history.
The documents can be ordered from "Riksarkivet", meaning something like the "National Archive". Their website is www.svar.ra.se/. Each copy costs 10 sek (about 1 Euro). I just made a quick search on the website and there are 10 documents that can be ordered. Six of them are from 1987 which means some of them must be the first registration and import papers. Unfortunately the online register doesn't say which paper is which so I guess you would have to order copies of all of them.
Try sending an e-mail to their customer support and ask them for help about how to order! info@svar.ra.se or kundtjanst@svar.ra.se. All you need is the registration number (HKS633).

If you want photos of the car when it was a racecar in Sweden try to contact Bengt-Åke Gustavsson at www.racefoto.se/

I have seen this car on the racetrack many times and I really regret that I didn't buy it when it was for sale…

Göran
