No Spark from one lead...disti cap?
Discussion
HI All,
Have been having intermittent misfiring and after plug and lead changes it was apparent after problem solving that that the front left piston (looking from the rear of motor) was receiving no spark from the lead. There is no problem with the lead itself and wonder if it is either the rotor or disti cap. It looks as if the rotor has hit a couple of the points in the cap at some stage. What would cause this and could this be the reason for misfiring?
Look forward to your views.
Thanks
Luke

Knackered distributer spindle bearing allowing too much float on your rotor causing contact to be made with the cap. faulty Cap
Faulty rotor arm
faulty Leads
cracked spark plug
Start here and work upwards. You will find the problem eliminating as you go
