Evening all

I've just done a little investigating into a patch of water on my garage floor. The drip is coming from the otter switch in the back of the radiator. I only touched in gently and it was in my hand with and water/coolant pouring out.

The switch isn't used as I've got a pair on kenlowe fans. So my questions is what would you suggest I fill the whole with? If the best idea is to replace the seal on the otter and refit then where can I get one?

Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob, Good point of call would be ARR 01254 884725 Rishton, I had a rad rebuilt there for 3000m, or David Gerald 01386 793237.
Regards

if I were to go down the 2p route I guess I'd have to remove the Rad, or take the wheel arch off. Is there a prefered method?

Drop the bottom hose, drain the rad and instead of solder use plastic Metal.

If you are not using the switch there is no point in replacing it and it is a potential leak. You dont need to remove radiator to solder a 2p over hole. Just clean surface with wire wool, flux it, hold coin in place with small clamp or mole grips and solder with small blow torch. Plastic metal is an ok fix if you are stranded at side of road but it looks like a bodge, soldering coin over hole looks ok and adds value to car
