anti rollbar on 1600M??

Hi,
a friend in France has just bought a 1600M from 72( or 73?) but He has NO front anti rollbar !!curious
On my 2 vixen and 2500M I have one.
The bracket on the wishbone and on the chassis does exist but no mark to prove that one has already been fitted!! it's a tvr, but normal or not.
If you can help, also it is pure TVR, where can he found all the components?
