Im about to put the body back on to my 2500M. At present it's suspended above the chassis on scafolding in my garage. I've stripped off the old heat sheilding, cut of the rear mounts, ground of the seat bolts and Im going to steam off the oil and crap but it's been undersealed? Why would anyone underseal GRP? The only thing I could think of was sound deadening or to protect it in some way?

I would hazzard a guess that it was applied to help prevent stone chips from cracking the gel.

Most underseal is rubberised and flexible and apparantly provides stone protection to the bodywork.

Hey Neil,

Its got me in it,

Believe me,, stonechip isnt going to make much of a difference,,,,, lol

I'll either have to join Weight watchers, or start drilling holes in everything!
